Life Hacks: How to Effectively Resolve Conflicts - Virtual Class

Class Description:

The skill of Conflict Resolution is an extremely important skill for any organization

  • It can address the rights of the organization and the need for individuals to respect the standards and objectives that are necessary for the organization to function. (Everything will run much more smoothly within the biz)
  • It can identify a skill deficiency (ie Priority Mgmt, Coaching, Problem Solving). Instead of always being frustrated with someones performance in regards to a certain task, proper conflict resolution will bring this to the surface in a healthy manner.
  • Employees can hold themselves and others accountable, regardless of their formal position within the company. (Eliminate excuses)
  • It can bring to light expectations that may have been set poorly and allows a potential adjustment to clarify expectations. (Line Meetings try to bring this out)
  • It can surface unjustified assumptions about others.

Speaker: Cory Johnson

Speaker Bio

Cory Johnson got his start in the contracting world 2002 from a national painting franchise in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  After running a successful franchise for 3 years and then being promoted to General Manager, Cory was overseeing 20 franchise owners & 180 painters across 4 states until 2008.  He then moved to CO, to start Zenith Painting & Coatings with long time friend and colleauge Kaler Hendrix in January 2009.  In the beginning, it was just Cory & Kaler doing all of the painting & floor coatings themselves.  Now, they have 12 crews of painters, 3 crews of concrete coatings installers, 1 roof coating crew, 4 project managers & 3 office staff members.  Zenith has observed immense growth from its inception, stemming from coaching & education, a strong culture & a core value of "delivering what you promise".
