We're community first and foremost. We're a community of volunteers and professionals dedicated to making communities great.
Together we mourn as we learn more about the details surrounding the death of Michael Shinners, a community manager in Georgia. Together we have hope for Mike Horne, the chief building engineer, and his recovery.
We're all feeling different things right now. Shock, sadness, fear, anger. Some of us need to vent. Some of us need to feel connected to others. Whatever you're feeling, we want to help.
Our Chapter is offering a zoom conversation tomorrow, August 25th at 10am. We hope that the discussion will give you a place to speak about what you're feeling but we also want to offer resources in regards to de-escalating situations and preventative measures.
Please join us for this important conversation. You can simply listen. You can offer helpful thoughts. You can be a part of prevention.
“Micheal Shinners was an above and beyond building manager. He was loved by our community. The events today are shocking and he can never be replaced. We are deeply saddened,” said Brian Hall, a resident of 1280 West.
